Artist Statement

About 2 years ago, I discovered my passion for fine art photography. I began capturing everything around me.  The goal was simply making interesting and entertaining photographs. Due to my demanding work schedule, I could only photograph subjects physically close to my everyday routine. These constraints have taught me how to observe the mundane more intently. I didn't approach these photographs with a judgmental eye, a critical message, or the intent to ridicule. Instead, I started to see beauty revealing itself even in the most ordinary and neglected places, revealed through the transformative power of photography. This deepened my love for the medium even further. These photographs were taken between South Orange County and North San Diego County, California. The geographical limitation somehow contributed to the coherence of my body of work, and I embraced it as my very first photography project.
